RADGAW – Multi-Award-Winning Premium Home Improvement Company
Location: Radcliffe, Greater Manchester
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
Start Date: Immediate
Great businesses need great people behind the scenes.
At RADGAW, our reputation isn't built solely by the people who sell, survey and install our products.
It's also built by the people in our office who keep everything organised, communicate with our customers, support our installation teams and make sure the details are right.
We're now looking for an experienced, highly organised Office Administrator to join our award-winning team.
If you're someone who takes ownership, enjoys being busy, has a genuine "can-do" attitude and takes pride in getting things done properly, we'd like to hear from you.
Join a Business That's Been Doing Things Differently Since 1979
RADGAW is a family-run, multiple national award-winning home improvement company with over 47 years of continuous trading.
From our base in North Manchester, we design, supply and install premium windows, doors, aluminium glazing systems, orangeries, extensions and bespoke home improvement projects throughout Greater Manchester and the North West.
We've grown considerably, our product range continues to expand and we're continuing to invest in our people, systems and future.
But despite that growth, we're still a family business at heart.
We believe in doing things properly, treating customers fairly and working together as a team.
We're now looking for another exceptional person to become part of that team.
The Opportunity
This is not a role where you'll simply sit processing paperwork all day.
You'll become an important part of the day-to-day operation of RADGAW, helping our customers and supporting our Sales, Surveying, Ordering and Installation teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Dealing with customer enquiries professionally and warmly by telephone and email
- Providing excellent customer service throughout the customer journey
- Processing quotations, orders and associated documentation
- Using our in-house software, supplier systems and online ordering portals
- Liaising with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries and product information
- Supporting the coordination of installations and customer appointments
- Keeping customers updated and ensuring communication doesn't get missed
- Accurate data entry and maintenance of customer and project records
- Checking documentation carefully for accuracy and completeness
- Supporting our Installation and Operations teams with day-to-day administration
- Helping resolve customer queries efficiently and professionally
- Taking ownership of tasks and following them through to completion
- Supporting the wider office team wherever required
In a growing business, no two days are exactly the same. We therefore need someone who is comfortable adapting, prioritising and getting involved.
About You
We're looking for someone who doesn't need to be constantly told what to do next.
You'll notice when something needs doing, take ownership and make sure it gets finished.
You'll be organised, accurate and comfortable managing several priorities at the same time without losing attention to detail.
Just as importantly, you'll understand that behind every order number is a customer who expects us to do what we've promised.
Essential
- Previous experience in a busy office administration or customer service role
- Excellent telephone manner and written communication skills
- Strong computer and general administration skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Confident dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Ability to prioritise your own workload
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- A positive, adaptable and proactive approach
- Reliable and punctual
- Honest, professional and trustworthy
- Willingness to learn new systems, products and processes
Ideally, You'll Also Have
- Previous experience within the Window & Door industry
- Experience within home improvements, construction or a similar technical industry
- Experience processing customer orders and liaising with suppliers
- Knowledge of window and door products or industry terminology
- Experience using industry-specific software or supplier ordering portals
Window & Door industry experience would be a significant advantage, but it isn't essential for an exceptional administrator with the right attitude and ability to learn.
