General Building/Grounds Maintenance Operative
Murton Park brings the agricultural history of York to life, from the Stone Age to the present day.
To support us we are looking for a General Building/Grounds Maintenance Operative to support us with general building maintenance and ground works around the site, from our Roman Village to our visitor buildings.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a can-do attitude to maintain Murton Park. You will work with the Site Director to deliver the maintenance schedule for the site, ensure that the site is always kept well maintained and support with set up of seasonal events. The role is varied and will include working outdoors.
You should have experience in a similar role that has included general building and grounds maintenance and will need a full clean driving licence. You’ll need to enjoy working as part of a team, be able to manage your own work and have excellent communication skills. A love of animals would be an advantage.
The role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis. Our usual working day is between 08.30 and 16.30, Monday to Friday. The hourly rate is £13.40 per hour.
