The Role
As a Delivery Driver, you'll be responsible for delivering parcels safely and efficiently to residential and commercial customers. You'll represent A.R.M ROAD HAULAGE by providing excellent customer service while ensuring deliveries are completed on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver parcels safely and efficiently on your allocated route
- Follow all road traffic laws and company procedures
- Load and unload parcels with care
- Use a smartphone navigation and delivery app
- Provide a professional and friendly service to customers
- Complete daily vehicle and delivery checks
- Report any delivery issues promptly to the operations team
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months
- Maximum 6 penalty points (subject to insurance approval)
- No serious driving convictions that prevent insurance cover
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training is provided
- Comfortable lifting parcels of up to 23kg
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Able to pass a DBS check if required
- Able to pass drug and alcohol screening where required by our clients
- Access to a compatible smartphone for delivery applications
Working Pattern
- Full-time, self-employed position
- Typically 5-6 days per week, including some weekend availability
- Planned routes provided each day
