Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join our educational institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring student attendance, maintaining accurate records, and promoting punctuality and regular attendance among pupils. Responsibilities
- Monitor daily student attendance and absence records accurately
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and guardians regarding attendance issues
- Implement strategies to encourage punctuality and consistent attendance
- Maintain detailed records of attendance data for reporting purposes
- Follow up on unexplained absences promptly and appropriately
- Support the development of attendance improvement programmes
- Assist in organising meetings related to attendance concerns
- Ensure compliance with school policies and relevant legislation regarding attendance management
Experience
- Previous experience in an educational environment is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Familiarity with school administrative systems and record keeping is desirable
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: £28,598.00-£32,061.00 per year
