Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Café Manager to lead the daily operations of Mi Amor Café. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of café management, ensuring exceptional customer service, high-quality food and beverage offerings, and a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for culinary excellence. The Café Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing food safety standards, and maintaining efficient service to uphold the café’s reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning throughout each shift
- Supervise and motivate team members, including baristas, servers, and kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment
- Manage food preparation and cooking processes to uphold quality standards and consistency
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Coordinate food production activities, including menu planning and inventory management
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously
- Organise staff schedules, training programmes, and performance appraisals to optimise team productivity
- Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and cost control measures
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the café’s brand values and hospitality standards
- Handle customer feedback professionally to resolve issues promptly and enhance guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hotel service is highly desirable
- Previous barista experience is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Exceptional communication skills in British English with a friendly yet professional demeanour
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality experiences
