Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel premises. The successful candidate will lead a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene, organisation, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure efficient service delivery
- Train, motivate, and support housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and professionalism
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary
- Develop work schedules and assign tasks to team members based on occupancy levels and operational needs
- Address guest complaints or special requests promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, training, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services, with previous supervisory responsibilities preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to hospitality environments
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Hospitality experience is highly desirable, along with familiarity with industry cleaning protocols and equipment
