Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing installation and repair, with a strong understanding of various construction trades. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using a variety of materials such as tiles, shingles, metal sheets, and membranes
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately to fit specific structures
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools required for roofing tasks
- Prepare roof surfaces by cleaning, removing old materials, and ensuring proper insulation and waterproofing
- Collaborate with other construction trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, welding, and fabrication teams
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents at height or during material handling
- Assist in the organisation of materials and equipment on-site for efficient workflow
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing installation or repair is essential
- Knowledge of carpentry
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in roofing work
- Ability to work at heights safely and comfortably in various weather conditions
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Relevant construction or trade certifications are desirable but not mandatory
- A commitment to safety standards and continuous learning within the trade
Pay: £100.68-£250.00 per day
