Head of Lettings - Oxford
Oxford
Permanent, Full-Time
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior lettings professional to take responsibility for leading and growing an established residential lettings operation in Oxford.
We are looking for someone who combines strong people leadership with genuine commercial ability. This is not simply a role overseeing an existing team and maintaining the status quo. You will be expected to drive performance, increase market share, win new instructions and identify opportunities to grow the business across Oxford and the surrounding market.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will have responsibility for the performance and development of the lettings team, while remaining highly visible within the local market. You will lead from the front, building relationships with landlords and clients, generating new business and ensuring the team consistently delivers an outstanding level of service.
You will take ownership of the commercial performance of the department, monitoring individual and team targets, viewing levels, conversion rates, pipeline activity and overall profitability. You will identify where performance can be improved, coach and develop your team and introduce initiatives that generate measurable results.
A significant part of the role will be business development. You will be expected to build your own profile within the Oxford property market, develop relationships with existing and prospective clients, identify new sources of instructions and maximise referral opportunities across the wider business.
Alongside the commercial responsibilities, you will maintain oversight of the lettings portfolio, ensuring the operation remains compliant and that clients receive the high standards of service expected from a leading property business.
We are looking for an established lettings leader with a strong track record of running a successful team and personally generating new business. You should be comfortable pitching for and winning instructions, developing landlord relationships and operating as a credible senior figure within the local market.
You will need a thorough understanding of the complete residential lettings cycle, including the associated legal and compliance requirements. Previous experience of coaching and developing others is important, as is the ability to set clear expectations, manage performance and create a motivated, commercially focused team.
This opportunity would particularly suit an experienced Lettings Manager, Senior Lettings Manager, Area Lettings Manager or Head of Lettings who still enjoys winning business and wants the autonomy to influence strategy rather than simply manage a branch.
The successful candidate will join a highly regarded property business offering excellent long-term career prospects and a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include private medical cover, 27 days' annual leave plus public holidays, pension, company car allowance, bonus scheme, life assurance, income protection, wellbeing support and a wide range of additional employee benefits.
The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, with Saturday working approximately one in every three or four weeks on a rota basis.
If you are an established lettings leader who can develop people, win instructions and grow market share, we would be very interested in speaking with you.
Apply in confidence for further information.
