Job Overview
We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join a supported living service in Gloucester, working in partnership with the Service Manager to deliver high-quality, person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, trauma, and complex behaviours, including behaviours that challenge.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a proven track record in complex care who is ready to step up and develop further into a senior management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspire and mentor frontline teams, coaching and motivating staff to deliver exceptional, person-centred support
- Maintain high standards of care and compliance through hands-on leadership and proactive service improvements
- Support people to achieve personal goals and thrive within their communities
- Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure the service meets and exceeds regulatory standards, including CQC requirements
- Actively participate in day-to-day support delivery while fostering a culture of care, inclusion, and respect
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Deputy Manager or in an equivalent leadership role within a regulated care setting
- Proven experience leading teams supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, trauma, complex needs, or behaviours that challenge
- Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or a Level 3 with willingness to work towards Level 5
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and business insurance
- A proactive, approachable, and motivational leadership style
- Reliability, flexibility, and a positive, values-driven attitude
