Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily routines such as housekeeping, companionship and meal preparation, ensuring respectful and dignified support.
- Support clients in engaging with their care plans, including medication reminders and mobility assistance.
- Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or errands using your own vehicle or provided transportation.
- Maintain clear and open communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care delivery.
- Use IT tools to update care records accurately and efficiently, documenting any changes or concerns.
- Promote a safe environment by conducting regular safety checks and adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Foster positive relationships through active listening, empathy, and effective communication skills.
Qualifications
- Valid driving license with reliable access to a vehicle for home visits.
- Experience working in a care home or providing home-based support is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Ability to read and understand care plans to deliver tailored support effectively.
- Proficiency in basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Strong command of English for clear verbal and written communication.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and team members.
- Willingness to undertake training related to health and safety standards, safeguarding, and first aid as required.
