Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic IT Director to lead our organization’s technology initiatives and infrastructure. Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive IT strategies aligned with organizational goals, emphasizing cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, data management, and cybersecurity standards such as NIST.
- Lead the design and deployment of enterprise-wide system architectures including ERP systems, data warehouses, and application development frameworks utilizing technologies like.NET, Java, Python, PHP, Angular, React, Node.js, and SQL databases.
- Oversee the management of network infrastructure including WAN, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, LANs, SANs (Storage Area Networks), MPLS networks, and virtualization platforms such as vSphere.
- Manage system administration tasks including server management, Active Directory services, Microsoft Exchange environments, and help desk operations to ensure seamless user support.
- Implement robust information security protocols to safeguard data integrity and network security in compliance with industry standards like NIST.
- Drive project management initiatives utilizing SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies to deliver high-quality software development projects on time and within budget.
- Foster innovation through emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, DevOps practices, APIs integration, and disaster recovery planning to enhance operational resilience.
- Lead cross-functional teams by providing clear communication and leadership that motivates continuous improvement in system design, analysis skills, and technical expertise across the organization.
Experience
- Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles with a strong background in managing large-scale IT infrastructures and software development projects.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms including AWS and Azure along with virtualization technologies like vSphere.
- Demonstrated expertise in network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS management, WAN/LAN configurations, VoIP systems, and network infrastructure design.
- Strong understanding of enterprise applications including ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Oracle), database management (SQL Server, Oracle), and web development frameworks (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/React/Angular).
- Experience implementing information security standards aligned with NIST guidelines; familiarity with disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
- Skilled in managing cross-disciplinary teams through effective communication skills while negotiating vendor contracts or project scopes to optimize resources.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues swiftly while applying management best practices to develop innovative solutions that support organizational growth.
