Alternative Training Provider in Construction Skills for 14-16 yr olds.
Rocksteady Training is looking for full-time and part-time staff to assist in teaching 14-16 year olds construction skills. The role would mean working in a small workshop environment assisting tutor to provide qualifications to vulnerable young people.
Candidates must have experience in construction or working with young people
Your role would include:
- Work within a small team to ensure day to day running of the workshop
- Encourage students to engage in tasks
- Manage students behaviour
- Support to the Head Tutor
- Accompany students to the local shop at break times
- Tidy and organising of the workshop and communal areas
Person Specification:
- Be able to gain respect and trust from students
- Greet and Welcome students/visitors
- Answer phone/call parents/schools professionally
- Be supportive and engage with students at all times, including break times.
- Be supportive to other members of staff
We are looking for people who have experience in working with young people and/or construction. If you are only experienced in one we will provide training days.
We will be holding casual interviews for this role.
Part-time and Full time hours: 24-40 per week
Start date is flexible.
Trial period and review of 3 months and 6 months.
