Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. We have been established for over 30 years and provide mainly private dentistry with some NHS treatments. our highly skilled team offer routine dentistry as well as implants, orthodontics, composite bonding, and high level root canal treatments.
THIS POSITION IS NOT SUITABLE FOR A DENTIST. ITS IS FOR A DENTAL NURSE WISHING TO PROGRESS THEIR DENTAL NURSING CAREER.
NOT able to consider sponsorship.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality treatments. This position requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using IT systems, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Manage appointment schedules and assist with administrative tasks as required to ensure smooth operation of the practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members, fostering a collaborative atmosphere within the practice.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications as a Dental Nurse, including registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.
- A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
- Previous experience in a dental setting is essential
- Trainees will be considered only if they are ALREADY attached to a training scheme and have a minimum of 6 months experience on the job
