We are seeking an experienced Estates Grounds Person / School Caretaker to maintain our school grounds and sports facilities to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain rugby, cricket, football and other sports pitches.
- Prepare and mark pitches for matches and training.
- Maintain cricket squares, wickets and outfields.
- Carry out mowing, strimming, edging, aeration, fertilising and general turf care.
- Operate and maintain grounds maintenance machinery.
- Carry out general grounds, gardening and caretaker duties.
- Ensure outdoor areas are safe, clean and well presented.
- Support the Estates team with general maintenance when required.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in sports grounds maintenance.
- Strong practical experience maintaining rugby and cricket pitches.
- Good knowledge of turf care and seasonal pitch preparation.
- Experience using grounds maintenance machinery.
- Reliable, practical and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Good understanding of health and safety.
Experience within a school, sports club or similar environment is desirable. INDAP
Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
