Accounts Assistant (Part-Time, Hybrid)
JJ Roofing Supplies is looking for a part-time Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive, and looking to develop their accounting and systems experience within a growing multi-branch retailer. You must be able to quickly understand the accounting software and processes to enable the identification and resolution of issues when processes have not been correctly followed.

- Salary: £24,000 FTE per year. Pro Rata 3 days £14,400
- Location: Hybrid – North London
- Working pattern: 3 days per week
- Hours: 2 office days and 1 remote day, 9:00am–5:00pm
- Benefits: Quarterly/Annual bonus, Optional Nest pension, Free parking, Hybrid working.
What you’ll do
- Support the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks
- Handle customer and supplier queries
- Provide accounting support to branches
- Reconcile credit card receipts
- Assist with payroll administration
- Manage post and other ad hoc finance tasks
What we’re looking for
- Experience in an accounts department preferred
- Studying towards an accountancy qualification is an advantage
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- A methodical, accurate, and proactive approach
- Comfortable using finance systems and IT tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
