Residential & Domiciliary Care Worker
Available positions:
- Residential Care Worker – 35 hours
- Domiciliary Care Worker – WKN 6 shifts/month
- Relief Care Workers – various shifts available
Hourly Rate: £13.00, or £13.50 with Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Health & Social Care (or once obtained)
Key Information
Domiciliary Care: Level 2 Diploma/NVQ in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards achieving this qualification.
Residential Children's Home: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, Health and Social Care, Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards achieving an appropriate qualification.

- All pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced DBS check and verification of identity, will be completed prior to appointment.
About the Role
Our Children's Home is arranged over three floors; therefore, a good level of physical fitness is required, as the role involves frequent use of stairs throughout shifts.
Our Domiciliary Care Service provides support to an individual in their own home with highly complex care needs on a 24-hour basis.
Join our warm, empathetic team as they provide support with Autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs.
You will play a vital role in helping individuals develop their communication, independence, and everyday life skills, while ensuring they are supported with dignity, respect, and compassion.
No two days are the same. Duties include personal care assistance, medication administration, supporting daily routines and activities, undertaking household tasks, and helping to maintain a safe, nurturing, and person-centred environment.
A sound understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety, and infection prevention and control, together with excellent attention to detail, will be essential in this rewarding role.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience providing compassionate care to children or young people or caring for a loved one (parental experience included).
- Good listening skills and genuine interest in children’s needs. Effective verbal communication or willingness to learn sign language (training in Makaton and PECS provided).
- Understanding of confidentiality and ability to complete necessary paperwork with basic literacy and numeracy.
- Honest, dependable, empathetic, and proactive individuals who are eager to learn and contribute positively.
