Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Assistant to join our Community Rehabilitation Team on the Isle of Wight.
In this role, you will support the delivery of high quality, multidisciplinary rehabilitation care across both NHS commissioned Community Rehab beds and patients' own homes.
Working under the delegation of Registered Nurses and Therapists, you will help patients regain independence, achieve personal goals, and transition safely back into their community.
This is a 7 day service, offering a dynamic and rewarding environment where you will play a vital part in improving patient outcomes.
At present, the Trust is unable to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for this post. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
The successful candidate will deliver a range of delegated nursing and therapeutic interventions which focus on the direct rehabilitation needs of the patient under the care of the Community Rehabilitation Team.
Working within the boundaries set out by the Registered members of the Community Rehabilitation team (i.e. patients that have already had an initial assessment by the relevant staff members), the scope of the role enables the post holder to make accurate observations of a patient's ability, and feed this information back to the registered member of staff, in the following circumstances:
Washing and dressing
Meal preparation
Progression of patients with walking aids (crutches to walking stick for example)
Transferring from chair to bed etc and monitoring progress with this
Progression of patients with stair practice
Visiting patients at home and fitting of certain prescribed equipment
