Position: Estate Services Manager - Ground Maintenance
Location: Gunters Mead, Copsem Lane, Esher, Surrey, KT10 9HJ, United Kingdom

Contract Duration: 3+ Months (Temporary contract)
Working Hours: 7 hours per day
Pay Rate: PAYE: £19.27 per hour
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Grounds Maintenance team within a designated geographical area
- Oversee contractors, including those carrying out tree maintenance and specialist works
- Conduct regular estate inspections to ensure grounds are maintained to a high standard
- Report communal repairs, compliance issues, hazards, and tenancy-related concerns
- Ensure the team complies with health and safety procedures, including risk assessments, COSHH regulations, and lone working policies
- Respond to enquiries and complaints from residents and colleagues, providing excellent customer service
- Conduct one-to-one meetings with staff, manage performance, provide feedback, and support development
- Plan and schedule seasonal project work during quieter periods
- Monitor, order, and manage tools, equipment, materials, and supplies
- Ensure work vehicles comply with company fleet policies
- Ensure machinery is regularly serviced, maintained, and safe to use
- Work closely with internal teams to improve service delivery and resident satisfaction
- Promote efficient, cost-effective service delivery and identify opportunities for operational improvements
Person Specification
- Experience working in a Ground Maintenance environment
- Strong knowledge of health and safety, including risk assessments, COSHH, and lone working procedures
- Proven experience leading, managing, training, and motivating teams
- Experience managing contractors and overseeing service delivery
- Ability to conduct estate inspections and identify maintenance, compliance, and tenancy issues
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Good understanding of value for money, budgets, and service charges
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reports
- Ability to manage equipment, vehicles, and operational resources effectively
- Full UK Driving Licence (Category C1) with no more than 5 penalty points
