Due to continued growth, Inverweld Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our expanding team at our modern workshop in Port Glasgow.
Inverweld is a family-run business with a reputation for delivering high-quality steel fabrication and welding services across the West of Scotland. We work across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, industrial, education and marine, manufacturing and installing everything from gates and railings to structural steelwork, staircases and bespoke fabrication projects.
Following a significant investment in our new premises, equipment and facilities, we're looking for hardworking, skilled individuals who take pride in producing quality workmanship and want to be part of a friendly, professional team.
The Role
As an Experienced Welder/Fabricator, your duties will include:
- Fabricating and welding a wide variety of steelwork including gates, railings, balustrades, handrails, staircases and bespoke fabrications.
- Working from engineering drawings to manufacture high-quality products.
- MIG and MMA welding.
- Measuring, cutting, drilling and assembling mild steel components.
- Installing fabricated products on customer sites throughout the West of Scotland.
- Carrying out repair and maintenance work in schools, public buildings, commercial premises and marine environments.
- Operating fabrication machinery and hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets our high standards of quality.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Working independently and as part of our experienced fabrication team.
What We're Looking For
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience in metal fabrication and welding.
- Good MIG and MMA welding skills.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Experience using fabrication machinery, hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work both in the workshop and on site when required.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.

Working Hours
- 39hrs per week.
- Monday to Thursday. 8am - 4:30pm
- Friday. 8am - 3:30pm
- Overtime available.
- Weekend work when required.
