Grant Palmer Ltd is a locally owned and run public transport operator providing bus services across Bedfordshire. Based in Flitwick, we employ over 90 people providing an extensive network, and have built a successful and well respected business.
We are looking for a professional, hard working, and flexible individual to work within our busy transport office. This is a part-time, permanent role, offering 30 hours per week Monday to Friday, between 10.30-17.00.
The successful candidate will receive a salary of £12.71 (applicants age 18-20, will receive salary of £10.85).
This is a great opportunity for young people fresh out of collage or university to pursue a role and gain experience in the fast-paced office environment.
You will work directly with the directors to provide wide ranging administrative support, including essential record keeping, data processing, customer service, some PA duties, cash counting and general administration.
This is a technical role, involving a significant amount of data entry, accurate interpretation of information, and file upload to our business systems. The business and our customers rely on this information being accurate, so we are looking for a team player who is computer literate with experience of MS Office (including Excel) , use of email, and comfortable answering the phone in a professional manner.
You will need a minimum of four GCSEs grade A* - C / 9-4 including English and maths. It will be beneficial if you can demonstrate experience or have undertaken other relevant training for this type of work.
