Overview
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Catering & Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food preparation and service. As a Catering & Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients & customers enjoy a delightful experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Serve customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude, providing excellent hospitality.
- Support catering operations by assisting with prepping, delivering, event setups and service as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and food preparation areas.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment, demonstrating barista skills when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations during busy periods.
- Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally to enhance their experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a catering, cafe/restaurant setting is preferred.
- Skills in catering, serving, and food preparation are highly desirable, training will be given.
- A strong understanding of food safety practices is essential.
- Barista experience is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach are required.
