Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, ensuring their dignity is maintained at all times
- Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans in collaboration with senior staff and healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering positive relationships and enhancing their quality of life
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates on client conditions and any changes observed
- Use IT systems to document care activities efficiently and securely, ensuring compliance with privacy standards
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and their families to relay important information and address concerns promptly
- Drive or accompany clients when necessary for appointments or outings, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while adapting to individual needs
- Basic IT literacy for documentation and record-keeping purposes
- Valid driving license preferred for home care roles involving transportation responsibilities
- Experience working in a care home or providing home-based support is advantageous but not essential—training will be provided
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude that promotes trust and reassurance
- Good understanding of health and safety protocols relevant to caregiving environments
