About the Role
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Workshop Assistant to support our production team in manufacturing high-quality doorsets for commercial projects throughout the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career within a joinery and manufacturing environment. The role involves assisting skilled bench joiners with a variety of workshop tasks, helping to ensure products are prepared, assembled, checked and packaged to the highest standards.
While previous joinery experience is not essential, we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and is committed to producing quality work every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist bench joiners with general workshop tasks.
- Package completed doors, frames and doorsets ready for delivery.
- Carry out basic assembly work, including fitting hinges to pre-machined components.
- Install locks, drop seals and other ironmongery where instructed.
- Prepare components for assembly and finishing.
- Carry out quality checks on products before packaging.
- Keep the workshop clean, safe and organised.
- Assist with moving materials and products throughout the factory.
- Follow production instructions and work to established quality standards.
