The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial team in delivering cost-effective and well-managed utility infrastructure projects. This role offers hands-on experience in the dynamic utilities sector, working closely with project managers and clients to ensure successful project delivery and budget control.

Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for utility infrastructure projects.

Support commercial management of live projects, including monthly valuations and payment processing.

Help procure and manage subcontractor packages.

Assist in preparing and agreeing final accounts, including claims and variations.

Gain experience working with NEC and other forms of contract on major frameworks.

Liaise with site teams, project managers, and clients to provide commercial support.

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction/engineering field.

12 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in civils or utilities (preferred but not essential).

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in industry software and strong Excel skills.
