Housekeeper / Cleaner – The Pickled Parson
Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
About the Role
The Pickled Parson is looking for a dedicated, reliable, and detail-oriented Housekeeper & Cleaner to join our friendly team.

The ideal candidate will be confident working independently as well as part of a team, have a proactive attitude, and enjoy making a positive difference to our guests' experience every day.
Previous experience within busy hospitality venues, such as hotels, restaurants, pubs, or boutique accommodation, is preferred.
Your role will be essential in maintaining the immaculate standards our guests have come to expect, ensuring every room and public area is clean, fresh, and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest bedrooms daily, ensuring every room is presented to the highest possible standard.
- Carry out thorough daily cleaning of all public areas, including the bar, restaurant, hotel corridors, and communal spaces.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail, ensuring every area is consistently spotless and beautifully presented.
- Organise cleaning supplies and linen stores, keeping stockrooms clean, tidy, and well maintained.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Accept, organise, and store deliveries of fresh linen and cleaning supplies.
- Report any faulty or damaged cleaning equipment promptly.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
- Help maintain a safe working environment for both colleagues and guests.
- Communicate positively with the team and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and an exceptional guest experience.
Role Details
- Hours: 3-5 days per week, including at least one weekend day. (we currently have a temporary shift pattern for Monday-Friday throughout the school Holidays - working with our current housekeeper)
- Additional hours are regularly available to cover holidays and busy periods.
- We are a busy business throughout the year, so there is no concern over a lack of available hours.
- Pay starts at National Minimum Wage, with opportunities for pay increases following a successful probation period and based on experience.

- Previous housekeeping or hospitality cleaning experience is preferred.
- A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
