Purpose of the job:
- Be responsible for providing an operationally focused HR service by providing advice, support and managing employee relations cases.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver the business strategy.
- Be pro-active in resolving challenging situations whilst driving best fit and ensuring compliance with all company procedures, policies, and employment legislation.
- To work closely with Key stakeholders across the business and advise them on current legislation, help identify risk and offer solutions.
Main Responsibilities
- Be responsible for providing an operationally focused HR service by providing advice, support and managing employee relations cases.
- Work with the HR Team to deliver the HR plan in line with the business strategy.
- Be pro-active in resolving challenging situations whilst driving best fit and ensuring compliance with all company procedures, policies, and employment legislation.
- To work closely with Key stakeholders across the business and advise them on current legislation, help identify risk and offer solutions.
- Provide HR guidance, support and expertise to managers and employees in line with policy, practice and legislation.
- Develop HR service desk system to ensure timely responses to HR calls and mailbox through to conclusion.
- Continue to work closely with our Employment Law Partners
- Ensure HR matters are handled promptly, fairly, and consistently in line with legal and company requirements.
- Act as facilitator with managers with Employee Relations Cases eg grievance, disciplinary, absence and capability investigations and hearings developing their capabilities and skills around people management.
- Reduce the risk of Employment Tribunals by working closely with our indemnity insurers Providing timely and accurate management information on all aspects of HR as required.
- Assist with the development of key projects as identified by the business.
- Comply with Data Protection and General Data Protections Regulations (GDPR) and ensure the security of employee information in accordance with legislation and best practice.

Job Description
Knowledge and Experience
- ER experience – 1- 3 years
- Able to cope well under pressure.
- Able to work to tight timeframes.
- Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and able to work to competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience of TUPE/Consultations an advantage
- CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience
- Relevant degree an advantage
Skills and attributes
- Ability to motivate self and contribute to the development of an effective team.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in HR Systems, and Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced, and pressurised environment.
