Main purpose of Job
Working under the direction of the Depot Management, the successful candidate will be involved with various aspects of the processing plant, such as hand-picking metal from a moving conveyor belt, helping to clean the plant to a high standard, whilst being compliant with all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
Key responsibilities:
· Using hand and power tools to clean conveyors, feeders, screens, crusher etc and removing build-up in chutes etc.
· Cleaning, hosing down and using an integral vacuum system to clean throughout the processing plant.
· Assisting the Maintenance Foreman as required with any breakdowns, repairs or planned maintenance.
Person Specification:
· Physically fit and be proactive and flexible in their approach, as overtime may be required at times.
· Reliable and flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude.
· Able to work on their own and as part of the team.
Working hours/times: 45 hours per week. Monday to Friday between the hours of 1000 - 2000, including 1 hour unpaid for lunch.
Salary depending on experience.
