Head Cook required for busy primary school, 27.5 hours per week.
Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 2pm, previous experience required and passion for delivering great presented food for all.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure food quality and presentation meets company standards
- Monitor and maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute daily menus
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support
- Assist in the development of new menu items and recipes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
