Job Overview
We are an Emmanuel Group of Churches project, providing a local food bank which supports an average of 100 families each week. We are an evolving and innovatve service, committed to supportng our local community with dignity and without judgement.
We are a small, dedicated team passionate about tackling food poverty and working collaboratvely with volunteers and partner organisations. We work closely with the church and all staff within the Group.
Working arrangement
The role is for 13 hours a week. There are some set days where you will need to be onsite. This is split between Emmanuel Church, Weston Favell Centre, Northampton & Food Bank Warehouse, Deer Park Road, NN3 6RX, but there is an option to work some hours flexibly to include working from home if appropriate. This will be discussed at interview but if you need further details please do get in touch.
Responsibilities
- Using the Assemble System, updating volunteers’ details, producing monthly reports, newsletters, uploading training information, analysis of volunteer information, uploading induction training onto Assemble.
- Ensuring we are utlising the Assemble Volunteer Management system to the maximum effect.
- Training volunteers in Safeguarding and Manual Handling through in person talks and 1-1 meetings.
- Embed all volunteer projects throughout the food bank.
- Ensure all volunteers have yearly 1-1 meetings.
- Recruit new volunteers as and when new positions become available.
- Help to keep at the heart of all actvities our core value or helping everyone in our diverse community and the desire to help people build resilience against food poverty
- Organising volunteer events, Easter, Summer and Christmas meals.
Pay: £14.04 per hour
Expected hours: 13.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (required)
Experience:
- Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)
