About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Driver to join our team, operating out of our premises at London Gateway. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional driver to join a busy and growing operation, delivering excellent service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle in line with company policies and current road transport legislation
- Carry out timely and efficient deliveries and collections across allocated routes
- Complete all necessary documentation, including delivery notes, vehicle checks, and driver logs
- Conduct daily vehicle checks (walk-round checks) and report any defects promptly
- Ensure the safe loading and securing of goods in line with Health & Safety guidelines
- Maintain compliance with Working Time Directive and Drivers' Hours regulations
- Provide excellent customer service at all delivery and collection points
- Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle at all times
Requirements
- Full UK/EU Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DR/DD/IN endorsements)
- Previous experience driving HGV Class 1 vehicles
- Good working knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early starts, as required by the business

Pay: £46,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
