Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, chipping, or removing damaged concrete using hand tools and power tools.
- Mix and apply concrete, mortar, or other repair materials accurately according to project specifications.
- Use welding equipment and mechanical knowledge to reinforce structures when necessary.
- Operate heavy lifting machinery and commercial vehicles safely to transport materials and equipment on-site.
- Perform masonry work, including patching cracks, filling voids, and installing new concrete elements.
- Conduct inspections of repaired areas to ensure quality standards are met and repairs are durable.
- Maintain safety protocols during all phases of repair work, including roofing or carpentry tasks related to structural support.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete repair or related construction fields with a focus on structural restoration.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as chisels, trowels, and hammers, along with power tools like drills and saws.
- Mechanical knowledge including welding techniques and familiarity with roofing or masonry work is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique for injury prevention.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting materials or equipment between sites.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to construction sites, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
