Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with customers, and ensuring the bar area maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible serving practices. The successful applicant will possess excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
- Take orders accurately, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Monitor guest behaviour to promote a safe environment and prevent over-serving
- Collaborate with team members to deliver a seamless service experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service roles, ideally within a restaurant or bar setting , Newbee welcome aswell.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent serving skills with an emphasis on attentiveness and guest satisfaction
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Good time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
- A personable attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
