We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Supervise and support children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and social interaction.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery or childcare setting.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and leadership when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare).
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early years education.
- Passionate about working with children, nurturing their growth, and supporting their individual needs.
