Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 12T C2 HGV Driver to join our team on a full-time basis, based in Blackburn. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a 12T Curtainside truck with a tail lift and delivering goods efficiently along designated routes. Duties
- Operate flatbed HGVs in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly during transit
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules and any issues encountered during deliveries
- Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle throughout shifts
Requirements
- Valid HGV licence with C2 category entitlement
- Minimum 2 years of recent C2 rigid driving experince is required
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with 7.5t to 12T curtainside vehicles with a taillift
- Delivery driver experience is essential
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
