Early Years Practitioner – Level 2 or Level 3
Part-Time | 25+ Hours per Week | Monday–Friday
Puddleducks Nursery – North Finchley
Are you a qualified Early Years Practitioner looking for a part-time role with variety, flexibility and a friendly team around you?
Puddleducks North Finchley is looking for a warm, enthusiastic and reliable Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children across different age groups and would like a role offering a mixture of morning and afternoon shifts.
The Hours:
The position is Monday to Friday, with a minimum of 25 hours per week.
Our shifts would usually be:
8:00am – 1:00pm
or
1:00pm – 6:00pm
We are looking for someone who can be flexible between the two shift patterns depending on the needs of the nursery.
We completely understand the importance of being able to plan your life outside of work. Shift patterns would therefore be communicated in advance and discussed with you, rather than expecting last-minute changes wherever possible.
There may also be opportunities for additional hours from time to time.
About the Role
You won't necessarily be based in one particular room. Instead, you'll become a valued member of the wider Puddleducks team, supporting different rooms and age groups where needed.
You'll work alongside our existing practitioners to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment where our children can learn, play and thrive.
Your role will include:
- Providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5.
- Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS.
- Creating fun, engaging and age-appropriate play and learning opportunities.
- Building warm and positive relationships with children.
- Supporting children's individual routines, personal care and wellbeing.
- Working closely with room teams and helping wherever your support is most needed.
- Developing positive relationships with parents and families.
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and professional practice.
Who Are We Looking For?
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Hold a full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification.
- Have previous experience working with children in an early years or nursery environment.
- Are comfortable working with different age groups and across different rooms.
- Can be flexible between morning and afternoon shifts.
- Are caring, patient and genuinely passionate about working with young children.
- Are reliable and enjoy being part of a team.
- Have a good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Bring a positive attitude to work and are happy to get involved!
Paediatric First Aid and an existing Enhanced DBS on the Update Service would be an advantage, but are not essential.
