USTM LIMITED is seeking a Transport and Distribution Manager to oversee the company's transport and logistics operations. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient movement of goods, manage transport staff, maintain compliance with UK regulations, and improve operational performance.
Key Duties:
- Plan, organise, and manage transport and distribution operations.
- Supervise drivers, warehouse, and logistics staff.
- Prepare delivery schedules and monitor fleet performance.
- Manage transport budgets and control operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation, health and safety, and company policies.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement process improvements.
- Maintain transport records, reports, and operational documentation.
- Recruit, train, and support transport and logistics staff.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in transport, logistics, or distribution management.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance requirements.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.
