Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Café All Rounder to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a high standard of service and possess a flexible approach to various tasks within the café setting. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills across multiple areas of café operations.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or baked goods.
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter or table, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and manage basic maths for change and sales reconciliation.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Follow food safety regulations diligently to uphold hygiene standards within the café environment.
- Support team members with additional tasks such as cleaning or organising stock to ensure an inviting atmosphere for customers.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain hygiene standards within the café.
- Barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for those new to coffee making.
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Food preparation skills to assist in creating menu items efficiently.
- Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
- Strong organisational skills to keep work areas tidy and stocked appropriately.
- Ability to work well within a team whilst also demonstrating initiative independently.
