We are looking for cook for our busy 60 place day nursery. This will be 3 days a week 8.45am till 4.30pm. We will also need you to be flexible and be able to cover holidays and sickness within the kitchen.
Position to start as soon as possible and is subject to satisfactory DBS and references

The job includes:
- Preparing and delivery of nutritionally balanced family-style meals for all children aged 3 months - 5 years
- To be responsible in conjunction with the Manager and other cooks for planning menus, taking into account the nursery budget, the foods in season, local availability and nutritional requirements for children
- To be aware and to adjust meals accordingly to any child's individual dietary and cultural requirements
- Following kitchen procedures and maintain records in accordance with Environmental Health policies and processes
- To wash- up crockery, cutlery and pans
- To be responsible for recording and keeping relevant information relating to the children's diet on a daily basis
- To maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness to your kitchen area at all times and to follow infection/cross contamination control procedures and standard food hygiene procedures (e.g. food temperature checks and monitoring, recording this daily)
- To undertake any relevant training such as food hygiene, food allergens and safeguarding

Pay: £12.81-£13.11 per hour
