As our firm continues to grow, we are looking for a Client Services & Office Administrator to become a key member of our Chester office team.
The Role
This is a varied and important position that sits at the heart of our business. You will be a first point of contact for clients while supporting our client managers and wider team with essential administrative and practice support duties.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the office whilst helping us maintain the high levels of service our clients value.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately
- Managing client communications via telephone and email
- Supporting client managers with client liaison and administration
- Chasing clients for records and information required by the team
- Assisting with credit control and debtor management
- Managing incoming and outgoing post
- Scanning, filing, photocopying and maintaining client records
- Assisting with document submission and filing processes
- Maintaining CRM and practice management systems
- Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc administrative tasks
- Helping ensure the office operates efficiently and professionally
About You
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong organisational skills and a genuine desire to provide excellent client service.
You will be confident communicating with clients, able to manage multiple priorities and comfortable working in a busy professional environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and confident telephone manner
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to learn and use CRM and practice management software
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
- Ability to commute to our Chester city centre office
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice
- Experience within a professional services environment
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles
- Experience using Xero
- Credit control experience
- Familiarity with CRM systems
- Basic understanding of tax or accounting terminology
