Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Couture Seamstress to join our London atelier. This is a hands-on role requiring advanced technical ability, precision, and a deep understanding of couture garment construction.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Atelier, contributing to the creation of bespoke client pieces and collection garments, ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct couture garments to an exceptional standard, following patterns and technical direction.
- Execute advanced hand sewing and machine sewing techniques with precision and consistency.
- Assemble toiles and final garments for fittings.
- Carry out alterations and refinements following fittings, maintaining accuracy in fit and proportion.
- Work with luxury fabrics including silks, lace, tulles, and heavily embellished textiles.
- Complete high-end finishing, including linings, hems, closures, and delicate hand detailing.
- Maintain consistency in stitch quality, structure, and garment integrity.
- Collaborate with the atelier team throughout the development process.
- Maintain an organised and professional workspace.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working as a seamstress within a couture, luxury, or high-end fashion atelier.
- Strong expertise in both hand sewing and machine sewing techniques.
- Excellent understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabric behaviour.
- Experience working with delicate and luxury materials.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
- Ability to follow technical direction and work to exacting standards.
- Professional, reliable, and able to work within a fast-paced atelier environment.
- A genuine passion for couture and craftsmanship is essential.

Additional Information
This is a full-time, studio-based role in London.

Pay: £13.00-£17.00 per hour
