Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of food safety and bartending practices. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving beverages, and ensuring that our guests have an exceptional experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and offering recommendations.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service and compliance with licensing laws.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, demonstrating basic maths skills.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper hygiene practices in the preparation and serving of drinks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bartender or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- A friendly demeanour with strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs.
- A valid bartending certification or relevant training is an advantage but not essential.
