Job Title: Group Safety Health Environment and Quality Manager
Reporting To: Group Managing Director

Environment: Office based
Purpose of role: To have full responsibility for all SHEQ related activities for the group e.g. health and safety performance and culture, business accreditations, audits, environmental issues, quality, etc.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
· Ensure a positive culture for Health and Safety is maintained and ensuring KPI’s are met including risk reporting, near misses, etc.
· Responsible for the maintenance of business accreditation ISO 9001,18001 and 45001.
· Development and implement SHEQ policies for the group in line with internal and external standards and regulations.
· Senior authority for the business on all SHEQ matters representing the business in meetings with key customers.
· Maintain monthly and annual performance reporting for all SHEQ activities.
· Raise awareness of SHEQ issues within the business through positive communication, toolbox talks, regular meetings, training, etc.
· Create and maintain KPI information.
· Drive a continuous improvement culture within the business utilising modern proven techniques.
· Take ownership of calibration of quality and safety equipment.
· Develop and implement continuous improvement activities with a focus on “right first time” to minimise the cost of quality.
· Ensure all NCRs are closed appropriately utilising various proven root cause analysis tools to avoid a recurrence.
· Liaise with all departments to ensure Inspection Test Plans are followed including customer hold and witness points.
· Assist in implementation of modern techniques for problem solving, process times, root cause analysis, etc.
· Make periodic visits to site to audit installation.

Key Skills and Qualifications
· Higher education qualification in an appropriate field e.g. engineering, quality, etc.
· IOSH and NEBOSH qualifications required.
· Extensive experience with attaining or maintaining ISO accreditations.
· Previous experience of working on complex projects in a quality role in a manufacturing environment.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Pro-active approach to delivering timely information and influencing others to do so.
· Robust skills in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Project.
· Good communication skills.
· Understanding of continuous improvement methodology.
· Confident and patient.
· The ability to interpret detailed client requirements.
· The successful candidate will need to attain security clearances which will be supported by the business. A requirement of this process is the candidate must be a British National.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
