Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality sandwiches and other menu items in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches and other food items according to company standards and recipes
- Serve customers promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the food preparation area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and hygiene procedures
- Assist in opening or closing duties as required, including cleaning and sanitising equipment and work surfaces
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or within a restaurant environment is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and inventory checks
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy
- Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
- A friendly attitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
