Shop Floor Manager

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
About Us
British Made Shutters is a growing UK manufacturer of premium plantation shutters, supplying trade customers across the UK. As our business continues to expand, we’re looking for an experienced Shop Floor Manager to lead our production team and help drive efficiency, quality and continuous improvement across the factory.
The Role
This is a hands-on management position where you’ll oversee the day-to-day operation of our shop floor, ensuring production runs efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.
You’ll lead by example, support the production team and work closely with management to ensure customer orders are manufactured and dispatched on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the production floor.
- Lead, motivate and develop the shop floor team.
- Plan and organise daily production schedules.
- Monitor productivity and ensure production targets are achieved.
- Maintain high quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Manage workflow, materials and stock levels.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and production processes.
- Work closely with the office and management team to ensure smooth operations.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a manufacturing or production management role.
- Is a confident leader who can motivate and manage a team.
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Can work under pressure and prioritise workloads effectively.
- Has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in producing quality work.
- Is proactive, reliable and committed to continuous improvement.
- Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
