About the Role
Connex Education is working in partnership with schools across Taunton and the surrounding areas, including schools within the Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust (BWMAT), to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Supply Teachers from September 2026.
We are looking for qualified teachers who can deliver engaging, inclusive and purposeful learning across Key Stage 1. Whether you are looking for flexible day-to-day supply, short-term placements or longer-term opportunities, we can offer a variety of roles to suit your experience and availability.
The Role
We are recruiting Year 2 Supply Teachers for opportunities including:
- Day-to-day, short and long term supply teaching
- Full class responsibility where required
- Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
- Working closely with school staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing
- Adapting teaching to meet different abilities and learning needs

What We're Looking For

UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
-
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2

Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum

Confidence with classroom management

Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons

Good communication and organisational skills

A flexible, reliable and professional approach

Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
