Job Overview
We are seeking someone with at least a little bit of experience in front of House waitressing and Bar Work or at least someone competent and ready to learn to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Your role will involve not only serving beverages and food but also contributing to the overall guest experience through your knowledge of our menu and ability to engage with patrons.
Availability for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday shifts. This will be a permanent position with a contract available further down the line. Initially we would expect somebody to be self-employed.
We are a small family run restaurant recently opened in the heart of Folkestone. This will be a great place for someone wanting to pick up new skills learn how to work autonomously be their own boss and get creative in a number of areas.
Pay is minimum wage for someone Junior with no experience or £13 an hour for someone of the right age to serve alcohol with experience in hospitality with a monthly incentive of roughly 10% service charge. Any cash tips are kept by staff.

Duties
- Prepare and serve drinks and serve food.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Engage with guests, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Upsell menu items and promote special offers to enhance the guest experience and increase sales
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and effective communication during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively during shifts to ensure prompt service while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred, with a strong understanding of guest services. if you are looking for work experience, then we can train you and all we ask is that you are reliable and on time and open to learning.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and basic culinary skills is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle busy shifts efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike.
