Company Overview
Lymers Assist Ltd is a busy, family‑run specialist haulage company moving modular buildings, heavy plant and abnormal loads.
Our Transport Office is the centre of the operation—planning routes, organising movements, supporting drivers and making sure every load gets where it needs to be.
If you enjoy problem‑solving, staying organised and being part of a friendly, down‑to‑earth team, you’ll fit right in with us.
Summary
We are looking for a full-time Senior General and Abnormal Load Planner to join our traffic team at a busy, ambitious, and growing depot in Huthwaite.
This full time role will see you be part of an operation running a 31-vehicle fleet across General Haulage, Abnormal Load, and STGO work.
With live vehicle tracking and Transportec as its transport management system, the business is investing in the systems, technology, and infrastructure needed to improve performance, visibility, and future growth.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where the successful candidate can take real ownership of daily planning, support the Transport Office, and play an important part in the continued success of the business.
No two days are the same in this varied and fast-moving role. You will plan routes, allocate loads, manage driver schedules, solve live operational challenges, and help ensure collections and deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys pace, responsibility, problem-solving, and being at the centre of a busy transport operation.
