Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast/Brunch Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality breakfast and brunch dishes in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to showcase their skills. Prior experience and a strong background in food production are required. Cafe experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast and brunch dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Perform daily kitchen operations during daytime shifts, ensuring smooth service flow
- Work alongside kitchen staff, providing guidance, and support to maintain high standards of food safety and quality
- Manage food preparation processes, including ingredient handling, portioning, and plating
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of dishes and excellent customer service
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management ready to place orders as needed
- Uphold the restaurant’s standards for food safety, hygiene, and presentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a hospitality or Cafe setting
- Experience in a busy kitchen environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Experience in Cafe or hospitality environments is highly advantageous
- Passion for creating innovative breakfast and brunch dishes that delight guests
