At Good Taste Bakery, we’re passionate about great food, excellent coffee and outstanding customer service. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced, energetic and people-focused Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operation of our busy bakery and coffee shops in Frimley and Church Crookham.
This is more than a supervisory role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys leading from the front, takes ownership, inspires their team and is committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience every day.
Working alongside the Shop Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving sales, maintaining high operational standards and creating a positive, motivated team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily management of both stores, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Lead, coach and motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Act as Manager in their absence, confidently making decisions and leading the team.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing staff development.
- Prepare staff rotas and help ensure labour is managed efficiently.
- Maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and presentation.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders and help minimise waste and stock loss.
- Support the delivery of sales targets, profitability and key business objectives.
- Deal professionally with customer enquiries and resolve issues positively.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous management or supervisory experience in hospitality, cafés, bakeries, retail or food service.
- Is a natural leader who enjoys developing and motivating others.
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Takes pride in delivering consistently high standards.
- Is proactive, reliable and able to use their initiative.
- Is flexible to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
