Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants to provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with complex needs. You will play a vital role in helping ensure that the pupil you support is fully included, motivated and able to engage confidently in both learning and school life, working closely with teachers and the SENCO
I currently have opportunities available in mainstream primary schools across the following Nottingham postcode areas: NG2, NG5, NG6, NG7, NG8, NG9, NG10, NG20 and NG22. If you are able to commute to these locations, I will match your preferences to the most suitable roles we have available.

Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programmes for children with diverse needs, including autism and ADHD.
- Support children during classroom activities, ensuring engagement and participation
- Provide one-on-one assistance to children requiring additional support, including toddlers and those with special educational needs
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents to promote understanding and cooperation
- Support behavioural management strategies under the guidance of educators
- Assist with organising classroom materials and resources to facilitate smooth lesson delivery
- Foster social interaction among children to promote teamwork and communication skills
Experience
- Prior experience working with children, particularly within special education or early years settings, is highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is advantageous
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all ages and abilities
- Experience in teaching or supporting educational activities will be valued but is not essential as training will be provided
